79. John SPENCER ⁽¹⁶⁵⁾ was born on 20 Apr 1824 in prob. Gwynedd, PA.⁽¹⁶⁶⁾ He died on 6 Dec 1906. ⁽¹⁶⁷⁾ John Spencer owned the Homestead Place, in Moreland, Pennsylvania, where Jacob Spencer (his great-grandfather) settled in 1745. Much of John's life he was engaged in business in New York city.

He was married to Mary J. RHOADS (daughter of William RHOADS and Mary J.) in Mar 1848. Mary J. RHOADS ⁽¹⁶⁸⁾ died on 28 May 1883. She was born in prob. Philadelphia, PA. John SPENCER and Mary J. RHOADS had the following children:
