2050. Robert WHITTON (150). of Snape, in the County of York (Yorkshire), England.
In 1686 he bought 500 acres (for 25 pounds) in Upper Dublin, Pennsylvania.
With his son Richard, his lands were surveyed again May 12, 1709, and were adjacent to Samuel Spencer (2nd). These lands, on Richard's death, were conveyed to his "cozens" Samuel and William Spencer, who were Richard's executors.
He was still alive in 1723, and was a signer of the marriage certificate of his grandson Samuel Spencer, 2d.
He was married 1673, 2nd day of <unintelligible>. (188) Children were:
